This is a resin add-on set of landing gear wheels, not an aircraft kit. It replaces the plastic wheels of a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109E fighter in 1:32 scale with more accurate cast parts with a fine tire tread pattern and a well-drawn hub. A masking template for easy separation of the hub from the tire during painting is usually included.
Resin wheels offer sharper detail than injected plastic and may come with a hint of load on them, that is, a slightly flattened contact patch, which raises the realism of a standing aircraft.
First wash the parts free of mold release residue, cut the casting blocks away and sand the faces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. For a clean transition between hub and tire, use the enclosed mask.
The set contains resin wheels, usually with a mask. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package.
