An accessory for a large model in 1:32 scale, not an aircraft kit. It replaces the propeller from a plastic kit with a resin casting. The propeller tends to be the weak point of injected models: a split mold forces the maker to use thicker blades and a blunted trailing edge, and in this large scale such an inaccuracy is clearly apparent. A resin casting holds a thinner section, a crisper leading edge and a clean shape to the spinner.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109F was a single-seat fighter with a liquid-cooled inverted V12 engine, on which the designers substantially reworked the aerodynamics compared with the earlier versions - rounded wingtips, a deeper engine cowling and above all a new spinner blending into the line of the nose. The F-4 version belongs to the later machines of this series. The shape of the spinner and the blades is characteristic of the whole type and on a model it has a share in whether the nose looks right.
Wash the casting first in warm water with detergent. The propeller blades are thin and easily crack when the casting block is cut off, so cut with a fine-toothed saw and support the part while you do it; do not hold it by a blade alone. Sand wet and do not thin the edges beyond the original shape. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Spray a primer before painting, otherwise the paint will rub off resin at the edge of the blade. The blades of machines of this era were usually sprayed in a dark greenish black shade, and the spinner according to the machine's unit; check the exact finish against the documentation for the model you are building. If you want the propeller to turn, keep the shaft from the original kit and simply slip the resin part onto it.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a model in its own right. It is supplied unpainted; paints, glue and the kit are not included in the package.
