A detail set from the Czech maker Eduard of Obrnice near Most, intended to improve the cockpit of a model of the German Bf 109G-6 fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not a kit and not an aircraft model, but an accessory for a separately sold model. The LööK line rests on a simple principle: in one package you get a pre-painted resin instrument panel with faithful instruments and, with it, colored seat belts etched from steel. Both are ready for immediate use, so a marked improvement of the cockpit comes down to two gluing operations with no painting.
The Bf 109G-6 was one of the most widespread versions of the German fighter of the Second World War. It was marked by the prominent machine gun breech covers ahead of the cockpit, and it became the starting point for a whole series of further changes to the armament and the powerplant. The cockpit of the type is therefore a frequently built and closely watched detail, especially in the large 1:32 scale, where it is clearly visible under an open canopy.
Cut the resin instrument panel off the casting block with a saw, sand the seating surface flat and try it dry first to see whether it sits in the place of the original part. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). There is no need to paint it, because the printed layer including the dials is already on the surface, so any refinement amounts at most to carefully placing a drop of gloss resin on the instrument faces. Separate the steel etched belts with a scalpel and form them into a soft fold over the edge of the seat.
The set is an accessory for a separately sold model. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
