A set of resin barrels for the guns of the Messerschmitt Bf 109K fighter in 1:32 scale from Quickboost. It is a precisely cast replacement for the protruding muzzles and barrels, not a stand-alone airplane model. The detail parts replace the thicker, solid barrels from the base kit with crisper castings with the bores suggested.
The Bf 109K (Kurfürst) was the last large-production version of the German fighter from the end of the Second World War. It carried onboard guns whose muzzles protruded from the cowling ahead of the cockpit; the fairings and bulges above the guns were distinctive too. In the large 1:32 scale, thin and crisp barrels are far more convincing than the chunkier parts from an injection mold.
Resin parts call for careful work: wash them free of mold release residue, separate them carefully from the casting block and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue; protect your airways when sanding. Paint the barrels in shades from steel to blued metal, darken the muzzles gently and handle the small parts with care, as they are fragile.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
