A set of four Browning .50 caliber heavy aircraft machine guns in the wing-mounted form, in 1:32 scale from the Greek manufacturer GasPatch Models. The parts are cast in fine light gray resin with faithful detail of the barrel, the body of the weapon and the mounting. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory for faithful wing armament on large models of Second World War fighters. Four pieces cover a typical wing battery. The set is for experienced modelers.
The Browning .50 caliber (12.7 mm) was the standard heavy aircraft machine gun of American Second World War fighters. It was fitted in the wings several at a time and made up the main armament of machines such as the American fighters of the late war. The set reproduces its wing installation.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and clean the surfaces up with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting; the barrels look faithful in a dark steel and metal color, and the muzzles can be picked out with a fine patina.
This is a supplementary resin set, not an airplane model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the airplane are not included in the package.
