Reskit 1:32 BRU-42/A Improved Triple Ejector Rack (ITER) is a resin set of five triple racks in 1:32 scale. It lets you hang three bombs or tanks on a single pylon of the model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an aircraft model but a set of carrier racks for its stores. According to the name it is five pieces of the BRU-42/A rack in the ITER configuration, that is Improved Triple Ejector Rack, in 1:32 scale. The carriers listed are the F-14D, the AV-8B and the F/A-18A, B, C and D.
A triple rack is an intermediate piece between the pylon of the aircraft and the munition itself. Thanks to it, three stores can be hung on a single pylon instead of one, which fundamentally changes the look of the aircraft in a weapons configuration. The BRU-42/A configuration is an improved version used on machines of the US Navy and the Marine Corps. For the modeler what matters is that the rack is a shape-heavy part with a number of small edges, locks and lightening holes, which an injection mold out of the box usually simplifies.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and rid them of the mold release agent. Cut off the casting blocks with a saw or a cutting disc; with small parts, support them first so that they do not break off. Sand the cuts wet and with respiratory protection, and do not inhale the resin dust. They are bonded with super glue, that is cyanoacrylate; cement for plastic will not hold here. Apply a primer, which unifies the fine relief and reveals any flaws. Put the rack and the stores together dry first, so that you know whether it fits on the pylon and how the result will sit.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, stores and the kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
