The Kits-World 3D color instrument panel for the Consolidated B-24D Liberator 1:32 is a color relief decal on decal paper that replaces the flat plastic panel in the flight deck.

It is an accessory, not a kit. The set is printed in full color on decal paper and carries a raised relief, so once applied the instrument panel comes across three-dimensionally: the bezels of the gauges, the dials and the glasses have a depth of their own, which neither a flat plastic part nor painting alone can replace. In 1:32 scale the cabin of a heavy bomber is large enough for the difference to be visible even after the fuselage is closed.
The B-24D was the first variant of the four-engine Liberator to be built in large numbers. The station of the pilot and the second pilot on this type was unusually spacious and the instrument panel was among the most complicated to be found in the American bombers of the day — alongside the flight instruments it carried numerous engine gauges for four power units. It is precisely that which makes it a rewarding target for detailing.
The key is a clean trim of the carrier film. Relief decals are cut out with a sharp scalpel tightly along the outline, so that no glossy rim stays around the part and creates a visible edge once dry. Degrease the base and have it perfectly dry; the decal is soaked in clean lukewarm water only until the moment it starts to move on the paper. Longer soaking does not help — with thicker relief decals it washes the adhesive out instead. Once seated, push the water out gently with a soft brush from the center to the edges.
