A detail resin set of landing gear wheels from the Brassin range for a model of the American Curtiss Hawk 81-A2 fighter in 1:32 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. The Hawk 81-A2 is the export version of the P-40, famous for its service with the Flying Tigers in China. It is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory replacing the plastic wheels from the base kit.
The resin castings bring a sharp tread, a fine texture on the rims and a faithful tire shape that molded plastic parts usually do not reach. The set is designed for the large plastic Hawk 81-A2 kit in this scale (from Great Wall Hobby); check compatibility against the package.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts, separate them from the casting blocks and clean them up. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand resin with respiratory protection. It is a good idea to paint the wheels separately and to add dust and mud weathering.
This is an accessory set in resin, not a model of an aircraft. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
