Douglas Boston Mk.IV SPACE in 1:32 scale is a set of 3D decals from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for fitting out the interior. It is not a kit, but an accessory for a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The SPACE line offers color decals with a relief that in a cockpit take over work a very steady brush would otherwise have to do. This set is cut for the British variant of the American twin-engine aircraft in the large 1:32 scale. The elements are transferred onto a finished and degreased base and the instrument panel looks three-dimensional immediately after they are pressed down.
Boston was the British name for the American attack and bomber aircraft that in American service carried the designation Havoc. The Mk.IV designation matches the later machines delivered to Britain during the war, with a glazed nose and the bombardier's station. British crews valued the type for its speed and easy handling; it was used by day against transport hubs and over the coast. Besides the Royal Air Force, further Allied units used it too.
First finish the interior including the paint and a matte varnish, so that the base has an even surface. Separate the elements with a new blade and grip them with tweezers by the edge, not by the face side. Seat the elements into a drop of PVA white glue, check the position and press them down with a blunt wooden tip. Only the backing paper is moistened; a decal softener and a setting solution are not used. Think the order of assembly through in advance, because once the fuselage is glued only part of the cockpit stays accessible.
The set is an accessory for a model. You obtain the kit, paints and glue separately, unless stated otherwise.
