An F-104A Starfighter interior in 1:32 in a reduced scope from Quinta Studio contains printed colored cockpit equipment on decal film in a leaner selection than the full set. Intended for the Italeri kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item from Quinta Studio is a lighter counterpart to the full interior set. It carries color-printed cockpit equipment on paper for wet decals, but in a narrower selection of elements. The choice between the two versions is therefore a practical one: anyone building with the canopy closed will appreciate that it concentrates on what is really visible and leaves aside equipment hidden under the skin. The set is designed for the Italeri kit.
The Lockheed F-104 became a symbol of the time when speed was considered the most important quality of a fighter. The fuselage was drawn out around a single powerful engine and the wing was deliberately kept small so as to create as little drag as possible. The A version was the first production form of the aircraft and joined the units at the end of the 1950s. It was the cockpit layout of these early machines that differed from the later export versions built in Europe.
Before gluing, try dry where each element belongs, because in a narrower set there is no point in improvising. Unify the surface with the dark shade of the cockpit. Release the elements with a brief dip in lukewarm water and place them on gloss varnish; do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, as the chemicals would attack the printed resin. Finally go over everything with a matte varnish, so that the sheen of the film does not give away that the surface is not painted.
To finish it you need the kit, paints and gloss varnish.
