An Aires resin detail set in 1:32 scale that replaces the cabin of a base plastic F-105D Thunderchief kit with a faithfully cast interior. This is not an aircraft model but an accessory for a kit. It contains a cockpit tub, an instrument panel, side consoles and an ejection seat; Aires sets of this type tend to come with photo-etched parts and pre-printed instruments as well.
The Republic F-105 Thunderchief was an American supersonic fighter-bomber deployed above all during the Vietnam War. The single-seat F-105D version carried advanced avionics for all-weather operations; its cabin was fairly roomy and richly equipped, which the resin set puts to good use in this large scale.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. The interior comes out well after painting, toning and bringing out the details. Check the compatibility with your particular F-105D kit.
This is an accessory for a kit, not a stand-alone model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
