A resin detail set from Quickboost in 1:72 scale. It holds precisely cast air intakes for models of the Petlyakov Pe-2. The set replaces the corresponding plastic parts of the kit and offers a sharper shape and better open mouths; the model itself is not part of it.
The Pe-2 was a Soviet twin-engined dive bomber and reconnaissance machine of the Second World War, powered by Klimov M-105 V12 engines. The air intakes for the radiators and the supercharger are among the prominent features of the engine nacelles, so refining them shows clearly on a model.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting; the deeper open intakes come out well with a dark shade inside.
The set holds resin parts only. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
