A resin detail set of the exhaust nozzles in 1:32 scale from Aires. It replaces the simplified nozzles of the base kit with faithfully cast engine outlets of the carrier-based F-14D Tomcat fighter, with realistic structure inside and out. It is an accessory for advanced modelers, not a standalone airplane model.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat was an American carrier-based interceptor with a variable-geometry wing. The F-14D was the most advanced version, with more powerful General Electric F110 engines and updated avionics. The aircraft served the US Navy in the defense of carrier battle groups and carried long-range guided missiles.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The nozzles look best in metallic and heat-discolored metal shades; use metallic paints, heat staining and fine washes to bring out the nozzle petals. Check the fit in the particular 1:32 kit.
