FAQ

Není. Americké letectvo v roce 1948 přeznačilo stíhací letouny z „P" (Pursuit) na „F" (Fighter). P-51D se tak stal F-51D. Jde o stejný typ letadla, jen v poválečném značení.

Rolí a výzbrojí. V Korei už Mustang nelétal jako doprovodná stíhačka, ale hlavně jako bitevní letoun proti pozemním cílům. Kit tomu odpovídá raketami HVAR, pumami a nádržemi používanými i pro napalm, i dobovým značením.

Výrobce uvádí leptané díly (mimo jiné pásy sedačky), kovové hřídelky pro pohyblivé řídicí plochy, malířské masky, obtisky se třemi variantami značení, figurku pilota a stojan pro vystavení v letu.

Tamiya lícuje výborně, takže samotné slepení je přívětivé. Vzhledem k velikosti, detailnímu motoru a kovovému povrchu, který se náročně stříká, jde ale spíš o kit pro zkušenější modeláře s airbrushem.
