It is not a kit of a vehicle and not a model of equipment, but a set of separate accessories for a scene. The mines can be laid in the terrain, stacked on the cargo bed of a truck, added to combat engineers at work or leaned against the wall of a ruined house. In 1:35 scale they are small but striking objects which can turn a plain model into a situation that tells a story.
In the Second World War anti-tank mines belonged to the basic equipment of engineer units. They were as a rule flat charges of a dish shape which were laid in a road, in field obstacles or in the approaches of a defensive line, and they were transported in crates or stacked loose. In a diorama they therefore look natural in the terrain as well as as a load. Beside them the manufacturer also offers a second set of anti-tank mines in the same scale and two sets of anti-personnel mines, so a scene can be put together as needed.
Separate the parts carefully with a sharp scalpel and sand any remnant of the casting gate down with fine abrasive paper. If the parts are of resin, wash them in lukewarm soapy water before painting to rid them of traces of the mold release agent, and glue them with super glue, as ordinary glue for plastic does not hold on resin. Paint over a base color, finish with a dark wash into the recesses and bring the edges out with a dry brush. On mines sunk into the ground, dust and mud matching the surrounding terrain come in handy, so that they merge with the base.
It is an accessory for a build, not a model of a vehicle. It is supplied unpainted, and paints and glue are not included in the package.
