A resin detail set from the Czech company Aires in 1:32 scale. It faithfully renders the airbrakes of the legendary F-86 Sabre fighter, including their inner bays, which plastic kits usually simplify. It is not an airplane model, but an accessory that refines one.
The North American F-86 Sabre was a first-generation American jet fighter with a swept wing, famous from the air battles of the Korean War. It distinguished itself with excellent performance in maneuvering combat and became a symbol of the dawn of the supersonic era. The airbrakes on the sides of the fuselage helped the pilot shed speed quickly in maneuvers and on approach.
First wash the resin parts free of mold release residue, cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutter and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The open brake bays come out once painted and the shadows gently brought out with a wash.
This is a resin accessory, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
