A set of thin photo-etched brass parts from the Czech maker Eduard meant for detailing a plastic model of the F4F-4 Wildcat carrier-based fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane kit but an aftermarket accessory that will replace or supplement selected plastic features with finer metal parts.
The Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat was an American carrier-based navy fighter from the start of the Second World War, a key machine of the Pacific fighting in the first half of the war. The F4F-4 version brought manually folding wings to save space on carrier decks and heavier armament. The rugged structure of the Wildcat earned it a reputation as a tough machine.
Nip the parts carefully from the fret, clean them up and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); larger areas can be soldered. Make the bends over a sharp edge. Degrease the surface before painting and pick up the small features with tweezers.
This is an accessory, not a model. The airplane kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
