A detail set of exhaust nozzles for the carrier-based aircraft F/A-18C/D Hornet in 1:32 scale from the manufacturer Aires, rendered in the closed position. The resin accessory replaces the simplified nozzles of a plastic kit with faithful terminations of both engines, with petals and a fine structure.
The F/A-18 Hornet is an American twin-engined carrier-based multirole aircraft. The closed position of the nozzles corresponds to the state with a smaller cross section, typical of certain engine running regimes, for example on the ground or at lower thrust.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate them from the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. The nozzles come out well with metallic shades and heat-stained transitions; bring out the inner surfaces with a dark wash.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an aircraft model. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
