Fokker F.I 1:32 Roden is an injection-molded plastic kit of the pre-production version of the famous German triplane of the First World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit from Roden captures the German Fokker F.I fighter triplane in the large 1:32 scale. F.I was the original factory designation of the pre-production machines from which the well known Fokker Dr.I later developed. The set is made of injection-molded plastic and offers a well rendered fuselage frame, a detailed engine and decals for period markings. The model is meant to be glued and painted.
The Fokker F.I were the first three triplanes delivered to combat units in the autumn of 1917. Leading German fighter pilots flew them and the machine became famous for its excellent rate of climb and agility. It was powered by a rotary engine and its three stacked wings were its hallmark.
Building First World War biplanes and triplanes calls for patience with the struts and the bracing wires. Use liquid cement for the plastic and work up the cockpit and the engine before closing the fuselage. Apply the paints with an airbrush as well as with a brush, render the wooden surfaces with glazes and add the rigging wires with fine thread.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
