A set of three resin Revi C/12D reflector gunsights in 1:32 scale from Quickboost. It is a precisely cast replacement for the onboard gunsight in the cockpit of German aircraft of the early and middle years of the Second World War, not a stand-alone airplane model. The detail part replaces the simplified gunsight from the base kit.
The Revi C/12D (Reflexvisier, meaning reflector sight) was an earlier German reflector gunsight that preceded the later Revi 16B type. It was used on early German fighters and multirole machines, among them earlier versions of the Messerschmitt Bf 109, early Focke-Wulf Fw 190s, the Bf 110 heavy fighter and the Ju 87 dive bomber. The box holds three pieces, so it will serve several models or leave a spare in case such a small part is damaged.
Resin parts call for careful work: wash them free of mold release residue, separate them carefully from the casting block and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue; protect your airways when sanding. Apply a primer before painting, leave the body of the sight in the cockpit shade and suggest the reflector glass with a clear part or a drop of gloss clear coat.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
