Responsibility details are not available.
A decal sheet, not a kit. In the numbered series it is part number 8 and its theme is narrowly defined: Royal Air Force machines over Burma in 1942. The sheet covers the Mk.IIb and Mk.IIc versions, between which there is a substantial difference in armament, so check which of them your kit represents.
The Mk.II series Hurricane received a more powerful Rolls-Royce engine and wider armament options. The Mk.IIb version carried numerous machine guns in the wings, whereas the Mk.IIc went over to 20 mm cannons, which were better suited to attacks on ground targets. It was in this form that Hurricanes proved themselves in Southeast Asia, where in 1942 they took part in the defensive fighting over Burma. Conditions there were hard, the aircraft flew from makeshift strips and both their finish and their markings tend to be characteristic of that theater.
The model must have a gloss base under the decal, otherwise air is trapped under the carrier film and the edges begin to silver. Release the decal in lukewarm water, place it and blot the excess water away. Then apply a softener, so that the film follows the engraved lines and the unevenness, and let it dry undisturbed. Finally wash the area free of adhesive residue and unify the model with a matte overcoat; only on that is it good to work with a wash and with pigments, which machines from this theater positively invite.
