1:48 F.M.A. IA-58A Pucara, canopy mask inside and out for faithful cockpit frames seen from both sides.
Responsibility details are not available.
A double set of masks for the glazing of the Argentine ground-attack aircraft. It lets the framing be sprayed from the outer side and from inside the cockpit, so that it looks right from both views.
The frames of the real aircraft carry the shade of the cockpit on the inside and the camouflage finish on the outside. If you spray a model from one side only, bare plastic shows through the glass and looking into the cockpit it catches the eye at once. A set with pieces for both sides solves that difference and suits machines with a large area of glazing especially well.
Besides the home air force the type also reached several foreign operators in South America and beyond and was used on patrol and reconnaissance tasks. The design allowed for operation far from a base, so it has a robust landing gear and simple maintenance. It stayed in service for decades and some of the aircraft went through a gradual upgrade.
Apply the inner pieces before the fuselage is glued together, otherwise you will not reach the glass. After spraying the inner shade, let the paint dry thoroughly so that the mask does not shift during handling. The outer part comes only with the camouflage and is removed last.
