This is a resin replacement set of main landing gear wheels for the Hawker Hurricane fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory that swaps the plastic wheels from the box for a more precisely shaped cast version. The tires are made as weighted ones – slightly flattened at the bottom, as if a real machine were standing on them on the apron.
The set corresponds to the late type 1 of the Hurricane main wheels. The castings have a crisply readable tread and rendered tire sidewalls and hubs, which once painted looks markedly more realistic than the production plastic. The weighted shape gives a model standing on the ground a natural sense of weight.
First wash the parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks carefully and clean up the contact patches. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin and work with extraction or a respirator. Painting and weathering the wheels before the final fitting to the landing gear is advisable.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
