Careful, this is NOT a model of the aircraft but a resin detail set from Aires intended to improve the Heinkel He 162A-2 plastic kit in 1:32 scale (designed for the Revell kit). The set replaces and supplements parts of the base kit with accurate resin castings with fine detail. It is intended for more experienced modelers.
Aires detail sets increase the fidelity of a model in the places where the possibilities of a plastic kit end, typically the cockpit area and the landing gear bays. The resin parts are glued in place of the original plastic ones and markedly lift the realism of the finished model. For the exact scope and placement of the parts, follow the instructions supplied.
Wash the resin parts first in warm water with detergent to remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a knife rather than snapping them; when sanding, use respiratory protection, because resin dust is harmful to health. The parts are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and the joints can be strengthened with an activator. Always dry-fit before gluing anything in.
The detail set is NOT a model on its own. It does not contain the base kit, glue, paints or any other accessories, unless stated otherwise.
