How the set works

• The masks are cut out and numbered; you peel them off the backing sheet and settle them in place.

Why it pays off on the He 111

The glazed front section of the Heinkel is a web of small frames, and masking it by hand with tape means hours of work with an uncertain result. Pre-cut masks shorten this stage of the build and the edges of the frames come out sharp. Do not stretch the masks while sticking them down: they are flexible, and a stretched mask springs back once it is settled, so it ends up beside the frame. Lay them dry with tweezers and press them down with the tip of a toothpick.

For modelers who build the large Heinkel in 1:32 and want the frames of the glazing clean without masking by hand. The set shortens the most time-consuming part of the preparation for painting. It is an accessory, not a model.
