A sheet of markings from the AIMS brand in the large 1:32 scale. It covers seven He 219 A machines, mostly from the night fighter wing NJG 1, and one aircraft from NJG 3 with the lower surfaces oversprayed black. Among the options there is also a machine with the aerial array of the Neptun radar, along with spare Werknummer digits.
The Heinkel He 219 was a twin-engined night fighter with a nose landing gear, ejection seats for a crew of two and heavy gun armament. It entered the fight against the night raids over Germany in 1943 and, despite favorable assessments from its crews, only a few hundred examples were built. It was flown by experienced night fighter pilots whose markings the set captures.
Lay the motifs on a smooth, glossy surface, or silvery patches will appear under the film. Cut them out close to the edge, use a decal softener once transferred so that the decal sits down into the engraved lines, and once dry go over the surface with a varnish of the gloss you choose, so that the edges disappear.
The set is meant for more experienced modelers who build large twin-engined aircraft and want to set their model apart from the option supplied with the kit.
