I-153 Chaika — color 3D interior 1:32 is a set of raised cockpit details on backing decal paper for models of this Soviet biplane.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings color, three-dimensionally raised cockpit details for models of the Polikarpov I-153 Chaika biplane fighter in 1:32 scale. They are 3D decals printed on backing decal paper, neither photo-etch nor cast resin. The instrument panel, the side consoles and other elements have recessed dial faces and three-dimensional levers and knobs.
The I-153 Chaika was a Soviet biplane fighter with a characteristic cranked upper wing in the shape of a gull and retractable landing gear, an unusual combination on a biplane. It was used at the turn of the 1930s and 1940s, among other places in the fighting at Khalkhin Gol and in the opening phase of the war on the Eastern Front.
Coat the area under the decal with a gloss clear coat (Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22) and let it dry. Cut the element out, soak it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the paper into place in the cockpit. It has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on the gloss coat; on intricate shapes a drop of cyanoacrylate helps. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution: they will attack the printed resin. Build the layers up according to the instructions.
This is an accessory for detailing, not a standalone model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
