Eduard 1:32 Il-2m3 flaps is a photo-etched detail set from Eduard for a faithful rendering of the flaps of the Soviet Il-2m3 ground attack aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:32 scale is used for a detailed rendering of the flaps of the Il-2m3 ground attack aircraft. It is not an aircraft model, but an accessory to a kit. The thin metal parts replace the simplified plastic surfaces and make it possible to show the flaps in a realistic lowered position complete with their internal structure.
The Ilyushin Il-2 was a Soviet single-engine ground attack aircraft of the Second World War, famous for its heavy armor and its use against ground targets. The two-seat Il-2m3 version added a rear gunner. On large-scale models the flaps are one of the features that give a finished aircraft a dynamic look and reveal the otherwise hidden structure of the wing.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and make the fine bends in a bending tool. Bond the metal parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use a metal primer before painting and match the flaps to the shades of the lower and upper wing surfaces. Try the work dry beforehand.
This is an accessory photo-etched set, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
