An airbrush template of Italian camouflage in 1:32 - form number 3 from the range of patterns of the 77propeller brand for spraying blotches onto the upper surfaces of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This aid belongs to a range of patterns with which the typical Italian camouflage is created on a model. In itself it is neither a model nor a paint; it is laid on an already painted surface and serves as a pattern when applying a further shade. The range for this scale contains several variants of the pattern and this is the third of them.
The machines of the Regia Aeronautica carried several forms of camouflage in the Second World War. Alongside continuous areas there appeared both dense and sparse blotches applied directly at the unit, so that their distribution differed from machine to machine. That is exactly why with Italian types it pays to have several patterns at hand and to alternate them according to a photograph of the particular aircraft. Surviving photographs remain the most reliable guide.
First apply a light base and let it dry to a matte finish. Spray the darker tone over the pattern in parts and proceed from the wing root to the edges. If you want a layered impression, go over the surface twice with the position slightly shifted. Between the individual steps always wait until the paint stops being tacky.
The shades, the tools for spraying and the aircraft are not included with this item.
