1:32 L-39 Albatros wheels set is a resin wheel set for a kit of the L-39 Albatros trainer in the large scale. It is not a model but replacement landing gear parts.

This resin wheel set from Reskit is an accessory with which the plastic wheels from the box are replaced on a model of the Aero L-39 Albatros jet trainer in 1:32 scale. Wheels are among the parts that are seen from close up on a finished model and at the same time get the least care in kits. The mold parting line here often runs straight across the tread of the tire and the hub tends to be merely suggested. A resin replacement gets around those problems, because it is cast by a different process and both the tread and the hub detail stay legible.
The Aero L-39 Albatros is a jet trainer of Czechoslovak design from the Aero Vodochody works. It first flew in the late 1960s and became the most widespread machine of its kind in the Eastern bloc; later it spread to other countries as well and still serves today with a number of operators, including civilian ones. It is powered by a turbofan engine and the machine is built for intensive training use, which is matched by rugged nosewheel landing gear with a single wheel and main gear retracting into the fuselage.
Separate the wheels from the casting block with a thin saw and sand the remainder so that the contact surface for the axle is flat. Before painting, wash the whole set in lukewarm soapy water, which removes any mold release agent. Glue the resin with cyanoacrylate. The tire and the hub are dealt with separately, so first spray the whole wheel in the tire shade, then mask the hub off or paint it in with a brush. Leave the flat surface of the tire genuinely flat, as gloss in this place gives a model away at once. Check too whether the new wheels change the ride height of the model compared with the original plastic ones.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
