Two LAU-105 launchers for aircraft armament in 1:32 scale, as an accessory for plastic aircraft kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
In American nomenclature the LAU designation belongs to launchers for aircraft armament, that is the rails and pods hung under the wing or fuselage from which the armament is launched. The LAU-105 is one of them. On a model it is a small but conspicuous part: it hangs in open space under the wing, the eye goes around it from every side, and its shape and thickness decide whether the armament looks like a separate piece of equipment or like a lump of plastic.
Two pieces in 1:32 scale. The parts are complete in shape, so there is no gluing together of several halves and no sanding of a joint in the middle of a visible surface, which is what usually takes the most time with plastic parts.
The parts are not polystyrene, and ordinary plastic cement will not join them. Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest away carefully so that the shape is not damaged. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold and will rub off during handling. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue applied in a small amount; racks are among the parts that are easily knocked off, so it is better to roughen the joint area. The specific preparation procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
For builders of aircraft models in 1:32 scale who want the armament and the way it hangs worked out to the same level as the rest of the model. The kit, the armament, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
