The set consists of thin metal parts on a fret. They replace or supplement the plastic parts of a model where plastic is too thick, or else add elements that cannot be made in plastic. Which areas of the model the set covers is described in the manufacturer's instructions.
The F-35B is the form intended for short takeoff and vertical landing. Behind the cockpit it carries a lift fan covered by hinged doors, the exhaust nozzle swivels downward for the vertical mode and flaps for the air supply open along the sides of the fuselage. The internal weapons bay is shorter than on the land version. For a modeler that means the machine looks different depending on whether it is built in flight configuration or with everything open.
It will be appreciated by a builder who is taking a model in 1:32 scale all the way in detail and does not mind slower work with tweezers. A large scale is kind to photo-etch: the parts are big enough to be handled sensibly and yet they stand out on a finished model.
The subject of the delivery is a set of accessory parts. The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
