This product is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory for superdetailing the cockpit. It contains colored 3D-printed interior details on decal backing paper that reproduce the instrument panel, the side consoles and other features of the crew compartment in relief and in faithful color. It is neither classic photo-etched metal nor cast resin; the interior gains a realistic look without lengthy painting. The set is designed for the Italeri kit.
The Macchi MC.202 Folgore was an elegant Italian fighter of the Second World War powered by a license version of the German DB 601 inverted V12 engine. It ranked among the most capable Italian fighters of its day. The designation Late refers to the later production build. In the large 1:32 scale a detailed cockpit stands out.
The element is cut from the sheet, soaked in lukewarm water for about 15 seconds and slid off the backing paper onto the plastic part. It has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on a coat of gloss varnish (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22); on busy spots a drop of cyanoacrylate helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal setter, as the chemistry attacks the printed resin. Work with a sharp knife and tweezers and onto a degreased surface.
This is an accessory to a plastic model. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
