Reskit 1:32 Mark 82 with the BSU-49 Air Inflatable Retard unit is a set of four resin bombs with an inflatable retarding system for models in 1:32 scale.

Four pieces of bombs as an accessory for under the racks. What is special about them is the tail section. The BSU-49 does not retard with folding plates but with an inflatable bag, which before release is folded inside a smooth cylindrical housing. The silhouette of the bomb is therefore completely different from the variants with folding fins: the tail is longer and smoothly closed off. Anyone who wants the right weapon on the model for the given period and machine cannot get around this difference by repainting; the part has to be swapped.
The Mark 82 is an American low-drag bomb of the Mk 80 series in the weight class of around 500 pounds. The BSU-49 is a retarding system in which a bag inflates after release and sharply increases the drag. The purpose is the same as with folding fins, that is a safe release from low altitude, but the solution differs in construction and in the carrying state it looks entirely different.
The cylindrical housing of the tail is smooth and every trace of sanding shows on it. Cut the casting block off with a fine-toothed saw and level the area off step by step with finer grits, wet, with respiratory protection. Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm water with a detergent and apply a primer, which will at the same time reveal any spots not sanded enough. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Because resin is heavier than plastic, strengthen the joint with the rack using a wire pin in a drilled hole. On smooth surfaces it pays to spray the paint, as brush strokes would stand out on them.
There are several sets of Mark 82 bombs and they differ precisely in the retarding system and in the surface of the casing. The exact designation tells them apart, so go by it and by the scale.
The set is an accessory to a model, not a kit in its own right. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
