A cut self-adhesive mask for the model of the fighter F-16C in 1:32 scale. The BASIC grade is the simplest version of the range and concentrates on the glazing of the model. The parts are cut to the shape of a particular kit, so nothing has to be measured to fit.
The F-16C is a single-engine multirole fighter of American design in the single-seat form. A typical feature is the sliding bubble canopy with no front frame, which gives the pilot an unusually good all-round view. It is exactly the shape of the canopy that is the key thing when building the model.
A bubble canopy without a transverse frame has only a minimum of dividing lines, but in 1:32 scale it is genuinely large. That means two things. First, every inaccuracy on it shows at once, because the eye compares a long line. Second, a large part is easier to handle, so applying a mask is easier here than in small scales. On a large canopy it pays to mask the inner side as well, if you plan to spray the frame from the inside. In a large scale the inside of the cockpit is clearly visible and the transition between the interior color and the clear part cannot be hidden. Press the mask down gradually in short sections, so that the long edge does not ripple anywhere.
