A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks in 1:32 scale for masking the cockpit glazing and other surfaces while spraying. The EXPERT form is extended compared with the basic version of the same range: besides the frames of the glazing it also handles the areas that are hardest to mask with tape by hand. The shapes are cut to match the parts of a particular kit, so measuring and cutting tape directly on the model falls away.
In the large 1:32 scale the glazing of the O-2A is extensive and the frames are long and straight. A strip of tape cut by hand drifts slightly at every join, and on a finished model that shows as a fluctuating width of frame. A cut mask holds a constant width along its whole length and does not crease in curves, so the edge of the color transition stays crisp and nothing creeps under the mask.
The O-2A Skymaster is a twin-engine observation aircraft with the engines in line, that is with one propeller at the front and the other behind the fuselage. Characteristic of it is the extensive glazed cabin that gives a view downwards, which is exactly what makes masking slow when building the model.
For modelers who build in a large scale and want to spray the glazing rather than paint it over with a brush. Working with the set calls for no special experience, only patience and a clean surface.
The package holds only the mask set. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
