A plastic kit of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 E-4 fighter in the attractive large 1:32 scale from the brand Hobby 2000. The release combines proven plastic parts with quality decals and etched details. The large scale lets the cockpit, the engine section and the structure of the airframe show to good effect.
The Bf 109 E-4 was among the key Luftwaffe fighters of the opening years of the Second World War, especially during the Battle of Britain. The E-4 version brought heavier armament and better protection for the pilot. It was powered by a liquid-cooled inverted V12 Daimler-Benz engine, which gave the machine an excellent rate of climb and speed.
Use a thin plastic cement on the plastic. Paint and fit out the cockpit before the fuselage is closed up. Spray primer and the camouflage with an airbrush; create the typical mottling on the fuselage sides with a fine airbrush setting or by stippling. Coat the areas with gloss varnish before the decals and knock the sheen back afterwards.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
