The Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 – instrument panels 1:32 set from Red Fox Studio fills out the cockpit of a large model in its updated form.
Responsibility details are not available.
This accessory from Red Fox Studio brings panels with rendered dials and controls into the cockpit of the large 109. It is applied like a decal on a carrier film, yields to the shape of the base and does not lift at the corners. The Updated version designation distinguishes the newer rendition from the earlier form of the set. The aircraft model has to be bought separately; the panels are aimed at the Trumpeter kit, since the manufacturer also supplies the same set for the Revell model.
The G-6 version became the most numerously built rendition of the whole 109 family. The more powerful DB 605A engine and the change to MG 131 machine guns above the cowling called for conspicuous breech covers, which were nicknamed Beulen, meaning bulges. The machine served from 1943 on all fronts, flew by day and by night and carried a range of add-on sets from underwing cannon gondolas to rocket launchers. The pilot had a densely occupied panel in front of him, on which the engine and navigation gauges and the gunsight were crowded into a small space.
First level the base and free it of grease from fingers. Lay the panel on dry, check its position against the frame and only then press it finally down with a cotton swab. Leave the fitting of the side consoles until last so that you have free access to the main area.
