1:32 MG 131 chute (1 piece) offers a resin chute for carrying away the cases of the MG 131 machine gun in a large scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This separate resin part makes the place where fired cases of the heavy MG 131 machine gun left the aircraft more accurate. The casting has thin walls and sharp edges of a kind that are hard to produce in injection-molded plastic. The scale of 1:32 corresponds to large kits of German aircraft, and the difference against the production part is clearly apparent on a finished model.
The MG 131 machine gun of thirteen millimeter caliber replaced older weapons of smaller caliber and, on the Messerschmitt Bf-109 G-6, it forced bulged covers onto the upper side of the fuselage. It was also used as a defensive weapon of bombers and as armament in the wings. Electric ignition of the round allowed it to fire through the propeller disc without complicated mechanical synchronization, which was a common arrangement on German fighters.
Before gluing, offer the part up and check whether it follows on from the panel lines around it. Glue resin with cyanoacrylate glue applied in drops with a pin, not straight from the bottle. Once it has dried, run fine abrasive paper over the edge so that the transition does not show, and restore any missing engraving with a needle run along a ruler.
There is one casting in the package; further weapon parts have to be obtained separately.
