This item is not a conventional plastic model but a kit of plastic bricks from the Polish maker COBI. The parts are of colored plastic and join by clipping together, so the finished aircraft comes about by building according to numbered instructions. The package is themed around the Korean War, that is, the conflict in which the MiG-15 first went up against American jet machines. The 1:32 scale given in the name corresponds to a large model with a clearly visible swept wing shape.
The MiG-15 was a Soviet single-seat jet fighter that first flew at the end of the 1940s and quickly became one of the most widespread combat aircraft of its day. It was characterized by a markedly swept wing, a barrel-shaped fuselage with a nose air intake and a jet engine derived from a British design that the Soviet Union produced under license. The armament consisted of a combination of large-caliber cannons placed under the nose, which made the aircraft a dangerous opponent for bomber formations. The designation Fagot comes from the NATO code name system. Over Korea the MiG-15s met above all F-86 Sabre machines, and the duels of the two types gave rise to the term MiG Alley.
You proceed according to illustrated instructions, which divide the build into clear steps from the fuselage to the flying surfaces and the landing gear. We recommend sorting the parts out first and building on a flat surface. The finished model is strong enough for ordinary handling and will take being picked up or carried. At the same time it stays demountable, so it can be taken apart and built again at any time. Dust is removed from the surface with a soft brush.
