Eduard 1:32 MiG-17 instrument panel is a photo-etched set for the cockpit panel of this Soviet jet fighter. It is an accessory, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard aimed at the instrument panel of the cockpit of the MiG-17 jet fighter in 1:32 scale. It replaces or complements the panel from the kit with a more faithful photo-etched version with fine dials and controls. This is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory for a kit.
The MiG-17 was a Soviet single-seat subsonic jet fighter of the first half of the nineteen fifties, developed on from the MiG-15. It was distinguished by its swept wing and was widely deployed by many air forces around the world and in a number of local conflicts. It was also built under license outside the Soviet Union.
A photo-etched instrument panel tends to be made up of several layers, with a backing of printed dials behind the part with the cut-outs for the gauges. The parts are separated with a knife and bonded with super glue. The painted version is only assembled, while bare photo-etch is painted. Fit the panel before closing up the fuselage, while the cockpit is still accessible.
This is an accessory photo-etched set, not a kit. The base model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
