A set of resin air scoops for a kit of the MiG-21MF fighter in 1:32 scale from the Czech brand Quickboost (a production range of the Aires company). It is not an airplane model, but a detail accessory that replaces the plastic parts from the kit with crisply cast scoops with a more faithful shape and cleaner edges.
The MiG-21 (NATO reporting name Fishbed) was a Soviet supersonic delta-wing fighter and one of the most widespread jet fighters in history. The MF version was among the widely produced variants and served with the air forces of the Warsaw Pact states, Czechoslovakia among them. The small air scoops cooled the internal systems and are among the typical details of its fuselage.
First wash the resin parts free of mold release residue and separate them carefully from the casting block; do any sanding with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Fit the scoops in place of the original plastic parts and lightly sand and touch up any joint. Apply a primer before painting.
This is a resin accessory for a plastic kit. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
