This is not an airplane kit but a small detail part that is fitted onto the frame of the canopy of a separately sold plastic model. The set is conceived universally and is not tied to a single type of airplane. The exact number of pieces and the dimensions are stated on the packaging of the set.
Rearview mirrors on the frame of a canopy are a small thing on models, but one that changes the overall impression a great deal. Plastic parts from a kit tend to be thick, with a coarse mounting and an indistinct mirror face. A resin casting allows a thinner profile and sharper edges, so a mirror comes across more convincingly on a finished model. In 1:32 scale, moreover, cockpit details are seen really close up.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap and let them dry perfectly. Cut the casting block off with a fine-toothed saw or a sharp scalpel, and hold small parts down beforehand so that they do not fly off. Sand wet and protect your airways. They are glued with super glue applied with a toothpick, or with a cement for canopies, which does not cloud the surrounding clear parts. Deal with the mirror face using a metallic paint with a very fine pigment, self-adhesive mirror foil or a drop of gloss varnish over a silver base. Paint the mounting in the shade of the cockpit frame.
This is not a model kit. The set is intended to complete a separately sold plastic kit; the base model, glue and paints are not part of the package.
