A 3D printed set of cockpit interior equipment and seat harness for models of the Northrop F-5 and T-38 in 1:32 scale, cut for Kitty Hawk and Kinetic kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Northrop F-5 is a light supersonic fighter which spread to dozens of countries thanks to its simple design and low running costs. The two-seat T-38 Talon trainer came from the same design family, and whole generations of American pilots went through their training on it. Both machines have a slim fuselage and a fairly tight cockpit, so its equipment is clearly visible under the glazing.
The set brings the interior equipment of the cockpit and the seat harness for 1:32 scale. It is cut for Kitty Hawk and Kinetic kits and replaces their own parts. The items are made by 3D printing, which can manage finer shapes than can be injected into a plastic mold.
The printed parts are not polystyrene, so glue them with super glue. First separate them carefully from the print supports, sand the remaining stubs with fine abrasive paper and wash and degrease the surface so that no print resin residue stays on it. Only then paint. Try everything dry first, because correction is no longer easy after super glue. Lay the small parts out on a light surface so that they do not get lost.
It suits a modeler who leaves the cockpit open and wants more in it than a bare seat. The belts give the seat depth even where the view through is only partial. The kit itself, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
