A resin detail set of the landing gear bays in 1:32 scale from Aires. It replaces the simplified bays of the base kit with faithfully cast compartments carrying the structure of the ribs, piping and wiring of the P-47D Thunderbolt fighter. It is an accessory for advanced modelers, not a standalone airplane model.
The Republic P-47D Thunderbolt was an American fighter and fighter-bomber of the Second World War. It was one of the largest and heaviest single-engine fighters of its day and was powered by the powerful Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial engine. It proved itself both as a tough attack aircraft for strikes against ground targets and as an escort fighter.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray the bays in a base shade, then bring out the structure of the ribs with a wash and a light dry brush. Check the fit in the particular 1:32 kit.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
