A resin detail set from Quickboost in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane model, but a set of replacement covers (doors) for the main landing gear for a matching kit of the American North American P-51B Mustang fighter. The resin castings are thinner than the plastic parts and capture the internal structure and the shape of the doors more faithfully, and those doors are clearly visible on a model standing on the apron. The set is intended for more experienced modelers.
The North American P-51B Mustang was an early version of the famous American long-range fighter of the Second World War, with the razorback canopy. The main gear covers closed the bays in the wings and remained partly open when the aircraft stood on the ground. Their faithful shape and thickness contribute markedly to the impression of the underside of a model.
Wash the parts free of mold release residue, separate them carefully from the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Protect your airways when sanding resin. The inner faces of the doors come out once painted and with the structure gently brought out with a wash.
This is an accessory resin set, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
