1:32 P-51D (Early) Interior 3D Decal is a colored three-dimensional decal from Quinta Studio for the cockpit interior of the early configuration of the P-51D fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory for one.

This product is not an aircraft model. It is a set of three-dimensional decals from Quinta Studio with which you complete the cockpit interior of a kit in 1:32 scale that you already own. It differs from classic photo-etched metal in two ways: the elements have real volume, so instruments, levers and upholstery stand out from the surface, and they are printed in color at the factory. That removes the most laborious part - painting tiny details with a brush. The set is made for the early configuration of the P-51D, whose cockpit differs from the late one in its layout; check which version you are building accordingly. The exact list of parts is given in the instructions in the package.
The P-51D Mustang was an American single-engine fighter whose main asset was its long range, thanks to an economical powerplant and the fuel it carried. The D version received a bubble canopy with a cut-down rear fuselage, which gave the pilot all-round vision. The Mustang cockpit is attractive to modelers precisely because it is perfectly visible under the clear canopy in 1:32 scale - and every unfinished detail shows in it.
First spray the surface under the decals and let it cure thoroughly, ideally to a smooth finish; three-dimensional decals hold less well on a rough flat coat. Degrease the surface. Cut the individual elements out with a sharp, fresh scalpel and move them with tweezers or a dampened toothpick - fingerprints are hard to remove from the colored surface. Place the parts dry, check that they fit the openings and only then press them down. Do not coat the finished interior with a heavy layer of varnish, which would needlessly flatten the raised effect; a local flat overspray is enough where the wrong surfaces would otherwise shine.
The set is an accessory. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
