This detail set improves the pilot's compartment of a model of the famous North American P-51D Mustang fighter aircraft in 1:32 scale. It is a resin accessory for experienced modelers, not a stand-alone aircraft model. The manufacturer is the Czech company Aires. The set replaces the simplified cockpit from a base kit with a more faithful execution of the instrument panel, the side panels, the seat and the controls.
The North American P-51D Mustang was an American single-seat fighter aircraft of the Second World War, powered by the Merlin V12 engine (built under license by Packard). The D version, with its characteristic bubble canopy and great range, served above all as an escort fighter for bombers.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Before closing the fuselage, check the fit with the particular kit dry and plan the painting of the parts that will be harder to reach once glued.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
