The set holds fully colored 3D decals of the metal-linked ammunition belts of the British 20mm aircraft cannon in 1:32 scale. These are not ordinary marking decals but micro-printed decals with relief, which imitate the rounds and the individual metal links of the belt faithfully. The extent corresponds to roughly 320 rounds.
British 20mm aircraft cannon were among the main gun armament of RAF fighters during the Second World War and after it. Metal-linked belts with their color-coded rounds are a striking detail that brings open gun bays and ammunition spaces on a model to life.
The decals go on with the wet technique: cut the part out, dip it briefly in water and transfer it into place. The relief printing creates the three-dimensional impression of the ammunition, so there is no assembling of tiny links. A matte base and settling with a softener are recommended; once the part is down, do not move it and give it at least 45 minutes.
This is an accessory for detailing, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
