A resin detail set of the ejection seat in 1:32 scale from Aires. It replaces the simplified seat of the base kit with a faithfully cast SJU-4/7A, the type used in the American versions of the AV-8B Harrier II. It usually comes with photo-etched belts and details. It is an accessory for advanced modelers, not a standalone airplane model.
An ejection seat is the pilot's escape system, which shoots him out of the cockpit in an emergency. The SJU-4/7A type was used in the American versions of the AV-8B Harrier II, the short take-off and vertical landing attack aircraft of the US Marine Corps. A faithfully rendered seat raises the realism of an open cockpit considerably.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Pick out the harness and the buckles in contrasting shades and finish the whole with a fine wash and a dry brush. Check the fit in the particular 1:32 kit.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
